WIP Wednesday: Peek quilt

About a month ago we had a new birth in my family. My niece Anna was born, and this is the quilt that I am preparing for her.

I am using with some of my favorite fabrics (Sarah Jane – Children at Play) and a pattern from the book Fresh from the clothesline by Darlene Zimmerman. I have been working all weekend to finish the top and I am glad that it is finished…On to the backing now!

I also managed to enrich my Etsy Shop a bit with some new tobacco pouches, and I am totally happy with my productivity for this weekend!

Currently in progress:

  • Peek quilt: just started the backing.
  • Checkers quilt: all the pieces are cut and ready to be pieced. (NEW!)
  • Dresden quilt
  • Butterfly quilt (I’ ve already finished the top ages ago, but I never showed you)
  • Pinwheel quilt
  • Hexagon english-paper-pieced quilt(a forever project)

This week’s stats:
Completed projects – 0
New projects -1
Currently in progress – 6
**I am sure I forgot something

Now it is your turn! Link your own progress at Freshly Pieced and take a peek on how everyone else is doing.

Welcome to Zarkadia Quilting Co.!

Quilts are the most intimate and personal of objects. They connect us with each other to the primal ground of the bed-the place we spend half our lives; where we are born, sleep, have sex, and die; the place where we replenish ourselves and dream our dreams; the place of nurture and healing, where we retreat in sickness and frailty; and the place where we receive the comfort and care of those who love us.
