2016 Finish-A-Long Q1

2016 Finish-A-Long Q1

This year I decided to join the first quarter of the 2016 Finish-A-Long. It is a great way for me to be pushed a bit, in order to finish up some of my unfinished quilts. Since this year is the first year that starts with the less UFOs possible, I decided to commit to finish all of them the first quarter of 2016, and then move on for more. My quilty UFO list is following:

Swoon quilt

I guess I started this project 2 years ago, and now its time has come to be finished. My main reason for joining this FAL is the Swoon quilt. Enough is enough…! All the blocks are already pieced, but I haven’t yet pieced the front, so there is a lot yet to be done.

I only have to bind this one…finally!!! FINISHED

Surrounded quilt

This one is surely finish before the end if next week, the only thing left is quilting and binding.

No backing yet available, needs to be basted, quilted and bounded.

Well yes..! That’s it! Only these four are my unfinished quilts…I feel so proud, but also the main reason was that in 2015 because of my pregnancy I did not do much of quilting.

Linking up to Mrs Sew and Sow, for you to see the rest of the FAL participants.

Welcome to Zarkadia Quilting Co.!

Quilts are the most intimate and personal of objects. They connect us with each other to the primal ground of the bed-the place we spend half our lives; where we are born, sleep, have sex, and die; the place where we replenish ourselves and dream our dreams; the place of nurture and healing, where we retreat in sickness and frailty; and the place where we receive the comfort and care of those who love us.
