Four Patch
The Four Patch quilt block is the king block for every beginner quilter. It is possibly the first block you will ever learn once you pick up quilting. I just adore it. And its scrappy version is just gorgeous!
Cutting Instructions for the Four Patch quilt block
Always remember FINISHED SIZE means the size it will be in a completed quilt. The measurements given already have the ¼ inch allowance included.

| 4” | 2.5” | 1.5” x 6.5” |
| 8” | 4.5” | 2.5” x 10.5” |
| 12” | 6.5” | 3.5” x 14.5” |
Block Variations
Just by changing the layout of your fabric squares and maybe adding a color or two you can easily make the following variations of the block using the same tutorial. We have already made a tutorial for the Autumn tints block, as it was also covered in the Farmer’s Wife sampler.

Love this block for its simple and smart design and construction. Thank you for sharing different block sizes too, they are very useful. I don’t mind your tutorials on greek or english, cm or inches, I understand both languages and can work with both length measurements. The dual language tutorial and dual measurements is an issue I deal with also. Translating texts for my blog took me longer than I thought and it made my text twice as long, I was bored of reading it more than once myself. That is the main reason i stopped blogging for a while now. How could I expect my readers to go through the different language blocks to read the one they were looking for. So i stopped blogging. And now I am stuck, because I want to start again. And for some reason, I feel like I need to apologize to the Greek readers or the non-Greek readers, because soon I will choose one language. Sorry for the long post. I totally relate to your post. x
