My Story

On the wake of living in a small village in Peloponnese, I started quilting as a hobby that soon grew up to be an obsession, which grew up to be a business. Isn’t it fun when you can actually DO what you love?
Since then, a lot has changed, we now live in Thessaloniki, and we have a little toddler to keep company to our golden retriever.

The People

I am Zafira and I’m a forest engineer, a forest genetics MSc and an avid quilter. But mostly, I am a 40-year old teenage girl that loves zombies, Doctor Who, Star Trek and board games. I am passionately making quilts, and sharing with everyone, everything I learn. I have been quilting since 2009, I am a self-taught quilter, and I will try to teach others this year (that is a promise). Very few people in my country know what quilting is, but I keep trying to spread the love for this amazing art.
Some strange facts about me:

  • I have a TARDIS tattoo (fuck_yeah!)
  • I am watching way too many TV Series and I do not have a television
  • I have lived in Madrid for 4 years
  • I am (still) a breastfeeding mom
  • I am hoping to experience teleportation before I die
