Checkers quilt: checked!

Yet another UFO finished! And it looks fantastic!

Luckily for me, there are only 2 more UFOs! Yeah! One by one they are finishing and it really feels great…I really do not have the strength to start a new quilt (except for orders, of course).
You can learn more about this one in a previous posts here. And yes! it is a very old ufo!

I also managed to make a cool pillow cover for our super brand new sofa. I used those “deers in glasses” from Echino fabrics for the front and an amazing fabric from Julie Paschkis (a really talented fabric designer).

Now on this week’s statistics

Dresden quilt: still handquilting.
Swoon quilt: piecing the top.

Summary of this week’s stats

I love the binding on the checkerboard quilt. I’m noticing more and more how the binding effects the overall look of the quilt and really loving the more interesting ones with stripes, polka dots, and other shapes.

Ooh I just love the pillow! It’s so happy, with its lovely splash of color. And good for you for knocking out your WIPs, I’m completely envious of your resolve and self-control!
