The Green quilt

Even though green is not the main color of this quilt, the customer named it like that! The quilt was made using a simple squares pattern with 8 inch blocks, and many different Michael Miller fabrics. It was quilted edge to edge on a diagonal square grid of 3 inches apart.

Quilt Process

Machine pieced, quilted and hand-bound by me.
Quilt dimensions: 48” x 48” (120 x 120 cm).
Quilt pattern: Simple squares quilt.

Materials used

All materials are 100% cotton.

Quilt front: ZoologyLarge Curly Swirl Brown, Large Pretty Petals, Groovy guitar (Michael Miller fabrics), Briquetage Turquoise (Alexander Henry fabrics), Kona cotton Turquoise and Chartreus (Robert Kaufman fabrics), Girl Friday by Cosmo Cricket (Andover fabrics) and Have a Sherri berry holiday (Northcott fabrics)
Backing: A combo of solid grey cotton fabric and leftovers from the front of the quilt.
Binding: Aqua gingham cotton purchased in Istanbul.
Batting: 100% cotton.
