The Friendship quilt block is a relatively easy to make, but also a bit tricky, especially regarding seam matching. But once you get the grip of it, and by using the right values on your blocks, the Friendship quilt block can really make ypur quilt special. It is also really scrappy friendly, and you can use up most of your scraps, just with a single block!
CUTTING INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE FRIENDSHIP QUILT BLOCK
Always remember FINISHED SIZE means the size it will be in a completed quilt. The measurements given already have the ¼ inch allowance included.
FINISHED BLOCK SIZE
*SQ = Square/Squares
CUT ONE SQ FROM 4 DIFFERENT FABRICS AND ONE SQ FROM WHITE COLOR
Just by changing the layout of the colors or/and your fabrics you can easily make the following variations of the block using the same tutorial. The block is also covered in the Farmer’s Wife quilt series, but I haven’t made my version, yet!
