Checkerboard

The classic 16 patch quilt block, the Checkerboard quilt block, is no brainer! It is the easiest quilt block out there, and I love using it even with my tiny 1.5 inch strips! Make this quilt in one weekend!

Cutting Instructions for the Checkerboard quilt block

You can make the Checkerboard quilt block using almost every final block size. Just use the following calculations:
A = Finished Block Size + 0.5 inches
B = (A x 2) + 0.5 inches
A x B = Wanted measurement of strips

In the following table you can find the measurements for some common block sizes.
Always remember FINISHED SIZE means the size it will be in a completed quilt. The measurements given already have the ¼ inch allowance included.
