Now quilt, as pattern tester

Now quilt is a pattern by Lucy Engels, a Scotch modern quilter that combines her artictic background with textile art. I worked on the pattern as a pattern tester for her, and it was an absolute delight.
Blue, with its calming and serene presence, forms the foundation of the modern quilt’s color palette. The symphony of blue within the quilt sets the stage for a journey of serenity and peace.
Adding a touch of warmth and charm, peach hues emerge as the perfect complement to the blue tones. With its delicate blend of pink and orange, peach infuses the quilt with a gentle radiance, like the first rays of dawn caressing the earth. The warm embrace of peach softens the blue palette, creating a balanced and harmonious visual experience.
Quilt process
In the realm of modern quilting, design plays a central role in creating captivating quilts. Lucy’s horizontal design, and solely with this type of design, the quilt is automaticallly characterized as modern. Then the fine lines between minimal blocks and color placement, make the design spectacular.
The pattern is really straightfroward, and mainly addressed to the advanced beginner quilter.
The Now quilt, now decorates our bedroom wall, as it hangs respectively beside our fine dream fibers!
Quilting
The quilting was made with wavy lines on my Janome 6700p, an easy solutions that gives me freedom to be fast and effective.
